Borderland Robotics is committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive environment. Our Code of Conduct outlines respectful behavior, teamwork, and sportsmanship expectations during all club activities and events. 

Borderland Robotics prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for participation and advancement within the organization. 

Borderland Robotics prioritizes the safety and well-being of all participants. 

Borderland Robotics is committed to child safety by implementing background checks for all coaches, maintaining small student-to-coach ratios, and establishing a confidential reporting system for concerns or incidents. Any reported concerns will be promptly investigated by managing staff, who will take necessary actions, including the involvement of law enforcement authorities if required. 

Borderland Robotics ensures sound financial management by establishing a treasury position on the board responsible for overseeing budgeting, expense approvals, and financial reporting. Regular audits will be conducted to guarantee accountability and the responsible stewardship of funds in support of Borderland Robotics' mission and activities. 

Borderland Robotics conducts fundraising activities to support its mission, soliciting donations and organizing events. All fundraising efforts will adhere to ethical standards, with transparent communication about the purpose and allocation of funds. The organization will comply with relevant laws and regulations, and financial records will be meticulously maintained to ensure accountability and proper utilization of donated resources. 

Borderland Robotics is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its members and stakeholders. Personal information collected will be used solely for club activities, and any data shared will be treated confidentially, strictly adhering to applicable data protection laws. The organization will implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of personal information. 

Borderland Robotics welcomes homeschool students aged 6-18 to join by paying membership dues during open enrollment. This membership fee covers participation in club activities and events, and individuals are entitled to the rights and privileges associated with membership. Financial assistance may be available upon request, ensuring inclusivity within the Borderland Robotics community.

At Borderland Robotics, we strive to provide a positive and enriching experience for all our members. We understand that circumstances may arise where a refund is necessary. Our refund policy is designed to ensure fairness and clarity for all participants and their families.

1. Registration Fees:

   Full Refund: If a participant withdraws from the club within 14 days of registration and before the start of the season, the registration fee will be fully refunded.

   Partial Refund: If a participant withdraws after 14 days of registration but before the start of the season, a partial refund (50%) of the registration fee will be provided.

   No Refund: Once the season has started, registration fees are non-refundable.

2. Special Circumstances:

   Medical Withdrawal: If a participant must withdraw due to a medical condition, a prorated refund may be considered upon receipt of a doctor’s note.

   Relocation or Unforeseen Circumstances: If a participant must withdraw due to relocation or other unforeseen circumstances, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Team Expenses:

   Non-Refundable Expenses: Fees related to team uniforms, competition registrations, travel expenses, and any other non-recoverable costs are non-refundable once the expenses have been incurred or the items have been ordered.

   Fundraising Contributions: Donations or contributions made during fundraising activities are non-refundable.

4. Processing Refunds:

   Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the club’s administration. Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the request.

Borderland Robotics values the contributions of volunteers, including parents, to support our mission. All volunteers, including parents, will undergo a screening process to assess suitability, and training will be provided to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
